TAG Result letters for all students who tested this year were delivered to the Board Office today to receive postage and will be placed in the US Postal Mail by the end of business on Thursday, April 17, 2014. Parents should expect to receive letters within the next few business days.
The TAG Program teaches district curriculum while emphasizing higher-order thinking, deep knowledge, substantive conversations and making connections to the world beyond the classroom. TAG students are provided with a qualitatively different school experience, which results from the gifted students’ interactions with each other in an engaging classroom.
Please join us for our last ALPAC meeting of the 2013-2014 school year at Dodson Elementary on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 7 pm. Our topic will be middle school transitions.
Current TAG Families - Please complete the TAG Enrollment and Transportation Surveys for the 2014/2015 School Year
Dear Parents of Current TAG Students,
We are beginning our planning for next school year and need your help in providing us some important information.
Current TAG Families Only - Please complete the TAG Enrollment survey located online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/H3DX57G by April 17th to indicate if your child will be continuing in the TAG program for next year. This needs to be completed for both elementary and middle school students. If for any reason your child will not be continuing in the program for next year a TAG Withdrawal Form will need to be completed as soon as possible. Please contact Wendee Giovanelli in the TAG office if you need a withdrawal form.
Parents of students currently in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades also need to complete the TAG Transportation Survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HZLHXPX by May 31st in order to insure your child has a spot in the TAG program for next year. We must have a transportation plan for every elementary TAG student even if they are being driven to school by their parents.
Fifth grade TAG parents please mark your calendars!!
ALPAC's April 7th meeting at Dodson 7pm will focus on the transition from TAG elementary school to middle school. 6th grade TAG teachers will be joining us, along with our "expert" panel of several TAG middle schoolers and their parents. The teachers will be making brief presentations, followed by roundtable discussions with the parents and middle schoolers. We're hoping this format will allow for informal conversation and questions.
