Welcome to TAG!

Submitted by tag-admin on Thu, 10/21/2010 - 1:25pm

The TAG Program teaches district curriculum while emphasizing higher-order thinking, deep knowledge, substantive conversations and making connections to the world beyond the classroom. TAG students are provided with a qualitatively different school experience, which results from the gifted students’ interactions with each other in an engaging classroom.

Included below are reminders about several important dates and events related to joining the TAG program.  Please read carefully and completely to make sure you do not miss any important deadlines.

Monday, May 13th – TAG Orientation for all new students and parents.
Location: Canton Little Theater - Located at Canton High School (off of Canton Center Rd. just south of Joy Rd.)
Time: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Who: Newly Invited TAG students and parents
Note:  You may bring your completed commitment and parent and student profile forms with you and turn them in at orientation.  Please keep all forms together.

This is the only Orientation session that will be offered so please make every effort to attend.  Your child will have the opportunity to learn about the TAG program as students will meet in a group setting with current TAG teachers.  Parents will meet in the auditorium to receive additional information about the TAG Program.  Information at this meeting is often helpful in making the decision about accepting placement in the TAG Program.

Current TAG Families - Please complete the TAG Enrollment and Transportation Surveys

Submitted by tag-admin on Wed, 05/01/2013 - 10:18am

Dear Parents of Current TAG Students,

We are beginning our planning for next school year and need your help in providing us some important information.

Current TAG Families Only - If you have not already done so, please complete the TAG Enrollment survey located online at:   https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MWSQJ86   by May 3rd to indicate if your child will be continuing in the TAG program for next year.  This needs to be completed for both elementary and middle school students.  If for any reason your child will not be continuing in the program for next year a TAG Withdrawal Form will need to be completed as soon as possible.  Please contact Wendee Giovanelli in the TAG office if you need a withdrawal form.

Parents of students currently in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades also need to complete the TAG Transportation Survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/62SR9P3   by May 31st in order to insure your child has a spot in  the TAG program for next year.  We must have a transportation plan for every elementary TAG student even if they are being driven to school by their parents.
